A family spokesperson revealed that the incident occurred during a basketball workout at the University of Southern California last month.

Bronny James suffered the cardiac arrest on July 24 and was swiftly taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he received immediate medical attention. His subsequent medical journey included consultations with specialists from the Mayo Clinic and Atlantic Health-Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey.

In a statement released on Friday, Stephanie Rosa of the LeBron James Family Foundation confirmed the underlying cause of Bronny's sudden cardiac arrest. She noted, "The identified issue is an anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect, which is manageable and treatable. We have high confidence in Bronny's full recovery and his imminent return to the basketball court."

Following the incident at USC's Galen Center, Bronny James was discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after three days. Notably, he was seen dining with his family in Santa Monica the following night.

Bronny, also known as LeBron James Jr., committed to the University of Southern California in May. The 6-foot-3 guard gained prominence as one of the nation's top prospects while attending Sierra Canyon School in the nearby Chatsworth area.
